Cupertino is holding its yearly Loss Bike Feast on Saturday, Sept. 24, at a new location: Civic Facility Plaza and Torre Opportunity, where the street will be shut down to autos for the celebration.
The family-friendly fest runs 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Riders who sign in at the competition booth by 9:45 a.m. are eligible to win a prize for being the earliest or youngest motorcyclist, or the person who can lug the most by bike (the record stands at 12 grocery bags). Teams can win for being the largest or the one with the most appealing motif.
Early bikers can additionally decorate their bikes, make bike art as well as verse, and make a shake on the city’s blender or food processor bike.
The fest will feature two chaperoned team flights in addition to a Bike Rodeo. The Family Members Enjoyable Trip, organized by the Cupertino Rotating’s Cycle for Change group, will visit Wilson Park for a scavenger hunt prior to returning to Civic Center Plaza for a treat. The Cupertino Facilities Trip with the city’s Transport Team will highlight some of the bike renovations coming soon to regional roads.
The Framework Trip is limited to 25 individuals. Register at Eventbrite.com prior to Thursday, Sept. 22, and fill out the waiver ahead of time to avoid the line at the fest.
